Galway Harbour

Galway Harbour Co. are in the process of the development of a new harbour facility to combat their existing capacity constraints and take advantage of the vast available market potential. Here’s a picture to give you some perspective of the restricted capacity of the current harbour.

Take a look at these two links for an idea of what’s proposed.

The new harbour means a huge change to Galway City. The development is aimed towards the shipping market off the west coast of Ireland which has been unfruitful in the past due to capacity issues. The development is expected to be fully complete in 2020. Please feel free to ask any questions and express all concerns in relation to the development and its implications.

Here is a video that outlines what to expect with the new development.

All information received will be communicated to Captain Brian Sheridan, harbourmaster of Galway Harbour Co.

Thank You.

Looks great! Update us on the recent developments of the harbour. As a resident of Galway, I am very interested what this means for our city.

      Thanks Paul,
I’m currently in the process of interviewing customers of Galway Harbour Co. and they are eagerly awaiting the development of the harbour. Some have plans of expansion and bringing more business to Galway.
